Because format quality matters.Users of accessible formats are key to UKAAF, whether blind or partially sighted, or with other print impairments. We are establishing a dedicated User Advisory Group (UAG) where end-users can share their views and experiences, and can take part in research and consultations around accessible formats to make sure their needs and requirements are made available to transcribers and service providers. You can also find out about your rights under the Disability Discrimination Act, and how you can talk to your service providers to help them understand what you need relating to accessible information. It's free to become a member of the User Advisory Group, and the only requirement is that you are a user of one or more accessible formats. You can join this Group without being a full member of UKAAF, but full members can be part of this Group as well if they like. From time to time UKAAF may request permission to use your comments or take photographs at user events to help us promote accessible formats. We will not take or use any photographs of you without your permission. Want to join? Find out more about benefits of membership and how to join.
