- COTIS (Confederation of Transcribed Information Services) - the static site of the former association which was one of the merging associations which formed UKAAF, includes guidelines for producing materials in audio format - with a focus on cassette tape materials which is still of relevance to many. This will soon be moved across to the UKAAF site.
- Reading Through Audio Initiative: A group of service providers providing information for rehabilitation workers, other professionals and end-users, to the digital audio services available and the equipment required to use them.
- DAISY Consortium: "the best way to read, the best way to publish". The DAISY Consortium was formed in May, 1996 by talking book libraries to lead the worldwide transition from analogue to Digital Talking Books. DAISY denotes the Digital Accessible Information SYstem. Members of the Consortium actively promote the DAISY Standard for Digital Talking Books because it promises to revolutionize the reading experience for people who have reading disabilities. Specifically, the Consortium's vision is that all published information is available to people with print disabilities, at the same time and at no greater cost, in an accessible, feature-rich, navigable format. See also the monthly DAISY planet newsletter.
